County Rally

Dear all,

I now have the information for County Rally.

Transport

Scouts will be travelling to Waddecar by minibus from the layby on Syke House Lane. They will need to be there by 7:15.

Parents need to collect the Scouts from Waddecar on Sunday after 3:30. Please try not to be early, there will not be much parking space! I will have the Scouts ready to go by the track on Bill's Meadow (the big field on the way into site).

Friday

21.00 - 22.00 Disco Party (Marquee)

21.00 - 22.00 The Service Crew Chip Shop

22.30 Scouts and Leaders back at own site. Camp goes Quiet by 23.30

Saturday

9.30 Flag Break and Opening Ceremony (Bills Meadow) - FULL UNIFORM TO BE WORN

10.15 Rally Competitions and Activities begin

12.30 - 13.30 Lunch

13.30 Activities and Competitions continue

17.00 Activities cease

17.00 - 18.00 Auditioning for "Waddecar's Got Talent" (Helme Lodge)

17.00 - 19.30 Evening Meal & Troop routine

19.30 - 20.30 County Patrol Leaders Forum (Helme Lodge)

19.30 - 20.30 Camp Fire (Camp Fire Circle)

20.30 - 22.00 The Service Crew Chip Shop

21.00 - 22.15 "Waddecar's got Talent" (Marquee)

22.30 Scouts and Leaders back at own site. Camp goes Quiet by 23.30

Sunday

9.30 Flag Break and Scouts Own (Bills Meadow) - FULL UNIFORM TO BE WORN BY ALL

10.15 Rally Activities and Competitions begin

11.00 Volleyball and Tug-of-War Finals (Bills Meadow)

11.00 - 12.00 Build your Sedan Chair (Bills Meadow)

12.00 Sedan Chair Run-Off (Bills Meadow)

12.30 Activities End

12.30 - 14.30 Lunch & Troop routine

14.30 Presentation of Prizes and Closing Ceremony (Marquee) (FULL UNIFORM)

14.50 Rally close

I have taken the liberty of entering you into the volleyball and tug of war!

Kit list

Please travel to and from camp in full uniform. As a guide each Scout will also need,

+ Sleeping bag

+ Plate, bowl, mug and cutlery

+ Tea towel

+ Warm sweater, jumper or sweatshirt

+ T-shirt or similar

+ Trousers or shorts

+ Spare underclothes

+ Spare socks

+ Wool hat, scarf and gloves

+ Torch and spare batteries

+ Personal first aid kit

+ Personal; washing requirements

+ Towel(s)

+ Nightwear

+ Hike boots or strong shoes

+ Waterproofs - It is going to be wet!

+ Swimwear

+ It is best to pack a rucksack or other bag that you can carry on your back. Suitcases are not suitable for use in tents.

Food

All food will be provided from Friday supper to Sunday lunch, a menu is available, in addition there will be chip shop on site on both nights. This will cost money so if you want your child to eat chips send him with some.

Money

In addition to the chippy, there is a shop on site selling sweets pop souvenirs etc. again if you want them to buy sweets they will need a little more money.

Mobile Phones

There is no need for any Scout to take a mobile phone on camp. Please don't send it.
